Jack Schmitt Cadillac Preferred Owner Program

Membership Benefits – No purchase necessary to enroll

  • Earn 5% of total customer pay service or parts purchases before tax and misc. shop supplies towards your next service or parts purchase.

  • $250 instant credit towards the purchase of a new or pre-owned vehicle.

  • Earn 10% of total customer pay service or parts purchases before tax and misc. shop supplies towards your next new or pre-owned sales purchase.

  • $50 Service Department credit with the purchase of any new or used vehicle. (Credit can be used for service or parts purchases).

  • Preferred Owner membership is household sensitive; all family members in the household can earn rewards on the same card. Please note: if you allow multiple card holders on the same or different vehicles, any card holder has the authorization to spend any of the money that has been accumulated.

Restrictions

  • Upon receipt of the membership card/key tag, member agrees to be bound by the program rules, terms and conditions.
  • Points cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • $500 maximum reward/redemption amount per sales transaction.

  • $250 maximum reward/redemption amount per service transaction.

  • Customers eligible for GMS/Supplier purchase programs are not eligible to redeem sales rewards, but may utilize the service rewards program.

  • Preferred Owner rewards are not transferable from sales to service or service to sales.

  • Wholesale parts purchases are not eligible for Preferred Owner earnings.

  • Service/Sales rewards are earned on customer pay portion of service and parts purchases only. Factory or extended warranty repairs or deductible charges are not eligible to earn rewards.

  • Service rewards may only be redeemed on your next service or parts purchase.

  • Preferred Owner cards expire 2 years after issuance, new card may be issued at Jack Schmitt Cadillac’s discretion.

  • Preferred Owner points may not be redeemed if you are in default under the terms and conditions of these rules or with any obligation that may be due the dealership

  • Jack Schmitt Cadillac reserves the right to disqualify any person(s) from participation, if in its judgment the member violated the rules, terms, and regulations governing this program. In the event of disqualification or program termination, accumulated earnings will be terminated.

  • Corporations, partnerships and other entities may not be eligible to participate.

  • Membership cards remain the property of the dealership and must be surrendered under request.

  • Jack Schmitt Cadillac reserves the right to make any and all decisions as to the validity of accumulated points. All decisions considered final.

  • Jack Schmitt Cadillac reserves the right to change, modify or discontinue the Preferred Owner Program at any time without member notice.

Engine Oil Life System

Your vehicle is equipped with GM's Engine Oil Life Monitoring System. When the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes on, have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible within the next 600 miles. It is possible that based on driving habits and conditions; the system may not indicate that vehicle service is necessary for more than a year. However, your engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time the system must be reset.
The necessary services, checks and inspections are grouped into two schedules: Maintenance I and Maintenance II. GM recommends starting with the Maintenance I schedule; the second should be Maintenance II, and then alternating between I and II thereafter. However, always use Maintenance II whenever the message comes on ten months or more since the last service or if the message has not come on at all for one year.

Maintenance I and II Schedules


Maintenance I Service Package

  • Perform when Change Engine Oil light comes on or within 10 months since vehicle was purchased
  • Perform when Maintenance II was last schedule used

During Maintenance I the following services are performed:

  • Change the engine oil and filter
  • Reset oil life system
  • Inspect engine air cleaner filter - replace as needed
  • Rotate tires and check inflation pressures and wear
  • Inspect brake system
  • Check engine coolant and windshield washer fluid levels - add fluid as needed
  • Perform any needed additional services

Maintenance II Service Package

Perform when Maintenance I was last schedule used

Maintenance II includes everything in the Maintenance I package plus the following additional items:

  • Inspect suspension and steering components
  • Inspect the engine cooling system
  • Inspect the wiper blades
  • Inspect restraint system components
  • Lubricate body components
  • Inspect the throttle system
